I am instructed by my Committee in answer to your letter C.S.0.100/6181/40 of 2nd October, 1941, to inform you that at a General Meeting held on 15th instant, the above communication was read to the assembly.

The resolution was unanimously adopted that the demand for an enquiry should be conveyed to His Majesty's Imperial Government, London, so it is requested by my Committee that the Hong Kong Government will forward the demand contained in my letter to you of 20th September, 1941, to The Secretary of State for the Colonies without further delay.
